Let it Snow in Durango, Colorado!

The snow is coming down here in Durango!  In the past 72 hours 43 inches have accumulated and a whopping 25 inches of that have been in the past 24 hours and it is still coming down!  We are so happy to see so much snow, we haven't seen much over the past couple weeks so Purgatory Mountain is very happy to get fresh powder on the slopes!   Durango Mountain Resort is so excited about all this snow they are even running some specials so make sure you check those out before heading out to the slopes!  This has hugely increased their 35 inch base as of last week to a current 70 inch base.  So if you're in the area get out there and play in the snow this weekend!

Also, all this snow is just in time for the annual Durango Snowdown, the 32nd annual premier winter celebration! The kickoff for the 2010 Snowdown, "Life's a Beach" will be this upcoming Wednesday January 27th and the festivities will continue through the 31st.  There will be PLENTY of fun activities and events to participate in for all ages!  So grab those swim trunks and bikinis and come on out to the 32nd annual Snowdown! Why? Cause "Life's a Beach!"
